Ski Holiday Packing List: What to Wear and Bring to Erciyes

A complete packing list for an Erciyes ski holiday: layering, what you need on the slopes and in the city, and the equipment and clothing already included in our packages.

Dressing right is one of the things that decides how much you enjoy a day on the snow — nobody lasts long on the slopes if they are cold or sweating. The good news: most of the equipment is already included in our packages, so you only need to pack your personal things.

Already included in the package

  • Ski or snowboard equipment (skis/board, boots, poles)
  • Helmet and goggles
  • Ski jacket and ski trousers
  • Gloves

Layering: the three-layer rule

The secret to staying warm and dry is layering. The base layer moves sweat away from your skin, the mid layer keeps the heat in and the outer layer protects you from wind and snow. Avoid cotton: it soaks up sweat and makes you cold.

  • Layer 1: thermal base layers (top and bottom) — wool or synthetic
  • Layer 2: fleece or thin wool mid layer
  • Layer 3: ski jacket and trousers (included in the package)

For the slopes

  • Thermal base layers (at least 2 sets)
  • Long, thick ski socks (2–3 pairs) — not cotton
  • Fleece or wool mid layer
  • Buff, neck warmer or balaclava
  • A thin hat to wear under your helmet
  • Sunglasses
  • High-factor sunscreen and lip balm
  • A small backpack and water bottle

For the city and hotel

  • Warm, comfortable everyday clothes and boots with grippy soles
  • Swimwear for the hotel's indoor pool
  • Moisturiser for dry skin
  • Charger and power bank — batteries drain quickly in the cold
  • ID and any medication you need
  • Skiing
