Safety
Adventure travel carries real risk. Managing it properly is the part of this job we take most seriously, and here is exactly how we do it.

How we choose operators
Every technical activity is delivered by a licensed operator. Before an experience goes on sale we check licensing, insurance cover, equipment age and guide certification, and we repeat those checks every season.
We ride, dive, fly and walk the experiences ourselves before selling them, and again when anything material changes.
Group sizes and ratios
Group sizes are capped for safety, not just comfort: four divers per guide, one pilot per balloon basket compartment, one river guide per raft. These caps are stated on each experience page and never exceeded.
When we cancel
Operators cancel when conditions fall outside safe limits. That happens most often with wind, and most often in winter. We would rather cancel a flight and refund you than run it marginally.
- Balloon flights: surface wind, visibility and cloud base.
- Paragliding: wind speed and direction at launch and landing.
- Rafting: river level and water temperature.
- Mountain routes: avalanche forecast, storm risk and visibility.
What we need from you
Tell us about medical conditions, recent injuries and pregnancies at the time of booking — not at the meeting point. Some experiences have weight, age or fitness limits that exist for physical reasons.
Follow the briefing. Guides can and do refuse participation when someone is unfit to take part safely, including after alcohol.
Insurance
Activity insurance covering the experience itself is included in every price. It is not travel insurance: it does not cover your flights, your belongings or medical repatriation. Arrange that separately — for adventure activities, check that your policy covers them by name.
